PEDESTAL - INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Model 7400 - Pedestal boxes may be bolted to a
concrete pad by 2 methods - lag bolts or wedge anchors.

      1. Lag Bolts
        - Place mailbox module in position and mark
          hole locations on concrete pad.
        - Remove module
        - Drill 4 - 5/8" holes into concrete pad
        - Drill 2 - 1/2" down for 2 - 1/4" lead anchor
          shields - tap flush to surface of concrete
        - Re-position mailbox module so that holes in
          baseplate align with holes in pad
        - Use 3/8" lag bolts - 2" long with plate washers.
          Ratchet bolts securely - do not over turn bolts
          as they may snap.
       2. Wedge Anchors
         Wedge anchors may also be used and offer
         the advantage of placing the mailbox on
         location only once.
       - Place box in final position
       - Drill 3/8" pilot holes 3" deep -down through
         the holes in the pedestal baseplate
       - Insert wedge anchors into holes and tap
         down into hole using hammer
       - Ratchet wedge anchors securely to
         concrete pad.
Required Tools
1/2" hammer drill
Ratchet or heavy duty pliers or
open box wrench hammer

For Option 1 - Lag Bolts:
5/8" masonry drill bit
4 - 3/8" x 2" lag bolts
4 - 5/8" x 2 1/4" lead anchors

For Option 2 - Wedge Anchors:
3/8" masonry bit
4 -3/8" x 2-3/4" wedge anchors
