Private distribution mailboxes are intended for applications where the Post Officeinvolved and the use is generally internal and private. These mailboxes are typically used in university dormitories, military bases, gyms and arenas, banks, schools and colleges, mailbox rentals, athletic centers, transport companies and internal distribution in companies, institutions and government offices.
These boxes are made to the same high standards of the mailboxes for the Post Office except with a smaller compartment. The standard compartment is 5" x 4" x 14". Other sizes are: 3-1/4" x 12", 5" x 6", 5" x 12" and 10" x 12" x 14". Different sizes may be incorporated in one module to satisfy specific requirements. Front Loading Modules are available from 4 high x 3 wide to 8 high x 6 wide with 5" x 4" compartments. Rear Loading Modules start from a three compartment box to whatever configuration is required Front loading modules have a multi-point latch bar with CPC sub-lock. Rear Loading modules may have locking rear door. Wall Mount and Pedestal modules are available together with the standard recessed units.
Doors are made from 1/4" extruded aluminum and are brushed and lacquered for an attractive satin finish. Locks are 5-pin dust cover cam locks with 1000 different codes. Combination locks, padlockable doors and other locking systems are optional. Door identification are engraved clear plastic windows or solid doors with engraving. Letter slots in doors are optional.
Vertical boxes, models 1000 and 2300 may also be used for private distribution.
