STANDARD INSTALLATION

Each unit comes equipped with anchoring studs and rods. Together they can be used to pull the unit thru the wall, creating a tight seal between front flange and the building surfaces. (See diagram)

Anchoring Rods furnished with each unit are for use in
walls from 12“ to 14” thick.

Modification of rods is necessary on walls less than 12“ thick. (Special interior trim flange required for glass or panels less than 3/4“. See below).

INTERIOR TRIM FLANGE
On book and video models the frame and hopper may be removed from the housing for ease of installation in some masonry applications.

GLASS INSTALLATION

The interior trim flange depicted at left is required when
mounting of the units takes place in walls less than 3/4“
thick. It allows a unit to be partially supported in the
opening. The attaching clips, screws, and foam seal are
included with each unit.

WATER PROOFING (supplied only when requested)

For installations exposed to rainfall or moisture we recommend
a cast aluminum rain hood (where envelopes are involved).
This protects against water seeping into the unit or envelope
supply compartment.
RAIN HOOD

DO NOT FAIL TO CAULK EXPOSED INSTALLATIONS

Notice:
Depository units containing an envelope dispenser
require circulation of ROOM AIR thru the envelope supply
compartment. The equivalent of a 1/2“ diameter opening
located above the compartment is usually sufficient.
